Hello Everyone! The MBBS admission process you are planning passes through the NEET UG counseling. This counseling process involves a crucial step, which is the document verification round.

It is the key to confirming your provisionally allotted MBBS seat. Your MBBS admission will be finalized only after verification of eligibility through these documents.

This involves physical reporting in front of the designated authorities or the allotted institute. You will receive your admission confirmation for MBBS to the allotted institute after this. Hence, what and how these documents are to be presented is important for you!

So, given below are the details for arranging all the documents required for your MBBS admission.

Documents Required for MBBS Admission

The document verification round begins just after the announcement of the provisional results. What’s important is that you must report anyhow within this period of 4-5 days. There is no second alternative to this. Remember that!

So, on the day of document verification, you must carry the original documents and 2-3 sets of attested photocopies.

Physically reporting for your MBBS admission to the allotted college is compulsory. Additionally, incomplete documents can even lead to cancellation of admission. So be very attentive!

A tip is to go for these rounds with clear and neatly arranged documents. Carry the originals and Xerox sets sequenced similarly, but keep them separately in files.

These mandatory documents are required at the time of your MBBS admission:

  • The allotment letter was issued by MCC/a competent state authority.
  • NEET Admit cards.
  • NEET Result/ or rank letter.
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10th Certificate / Birth Certificate).
  • Class 10th Certificate/ High School Leaving Certificate.
  • Class 10th Marksheet.
  • Class 12th Marks Sheet.
  • Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport).
  • Fee Receipts (Registration Fee/Security Deposit Fee/College Fee if paid).
  • Passport size photographs (like NEET application form) – 8 nos.
  • SC/ST/OBC Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • PwD candidate Certificate (if applicable).
  • EWS candidate (if relevant, as per the prescribed format. 

I also suggest you prepare some additional documents, which are (most of which are issued by your past school authorities) :

  • Conduct / Character Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Physical Fitness Certificate (given by a registered physician).
  • Proof of Residence of parent/local guardian (Any address warranty/PRC).

The PwD certificate is applicable only to physically disabled candidates who have claimed the PwD category on the online application form. PwD candidates have to produce a Disability Certificate. 

This certificate is compulsory to be issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board in an online format by the designated centers as per NMC norms (Gazette Notification no. MCI-34(41)/2018- Med./170045 dated 04/02/2019) only.

How can I get a Physical Fitness Certificate for NEET counseling?

Physical Fitness Certificate is required during the document verification round in the NEET counseling. You can undergo a fitness evaluation with a physician who will issue you a certificate. 

What is the EWS Certificate required in the MBBS NEET counseling?

The EWS Certificate is a document required only for candidates who claimed the EWS category during the NEET exam application. EWS candidates who have to produce the EWS certificate, as per the prescribed format.
