Courses Offered

Samaritan College of Nursing offers two courses: B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing. To be eligible for B.Sc Nursing, you need to go through a selection process which is carried out by a committee based on the norms set by the University and the Government of Kerala. The course has 50 seats available.

To be eligible for B.Sc Nursing, you need to have passed the Plus two of any of the universities in Kerala with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects, or any examination recognized as equivalent by Mahatma Gandhi University with 50% aggregate marks for optional subjects.

To be admitted to the M.Sc program, you need to meet certain requirements. Such as:

  • You must be registered as a nurse and midwife with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council. 
  • You must have completed a regular degree in Nursing, such as B Sc. Nursing, B Sc. (Hons) Nursing, or Post Basic B Sc. Nursing, with at least 55% marks from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. 
  • You must have at least one year of experience after completing Basic B Sc. Nursing or a four-year B Sc Nursing degree with a one-year compulsory nursing service/internship. 
  • Finally, you must be medically fit.
