Admission Procedure to ICAR Colleges in India 

Following is the admission procedure to ICAR colleges in Karnataka in a structured manner and for various agricultural courses in a step-by-step manner: 

1. Entrance Examination (AIEEA):

AIEEA UG:

Applicants should have passed their 10+2 with relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture) and obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% in those subjects (40% for the reserved categories).

AIEEA PG:

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related fields with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (50% for the reserved categories).

2. Application Process:

Applicants firstly need to create their profile on the ICAR website, offering their academic and personal details that have been asked. This is followed by applicants filling in their course preferences, uploading the documents (signature and photograph), and paying the application fees(UG/PG).

3. Admit Card:

Once the application is successfully submitted, admit cards are offered. Admit cards are compulsory for the students to sit for the examinations.

4. Counselling Process:

Once the results are declared, the eligible candidates must register for online counselling, and select their preferred choice of courses and colleges. The seats allotted to the student depends on the preferences filled during counselling and on the applicant’s rank in the entrance exam. Once, seat is allotted, students should submit the documents asked for the verification process and pay the admission fees.
