A private institution, Kannur Medical College is situated in the Malabar Coast of Kannur district. The college was established in 2006. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.

With an intake of 150 students each year, the college offers an MBBS degree that includes four and a half years of study and a one-year internship.

The college also offers PG MD/MS courses in various departments. Pre-clinical departments are- Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. Para clinical departments are- Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine and Pharmacology. Clinical departments are- General Medicine, Paediatric & Neonatology, Psychiatry, Dermatology & Venerology, Anaesthesiology, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Respiratory Medicine and Radiology. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the MBBS course in Kannur Medical College, he/she must meet these following criteria:

  • He/She must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects. Minimum passing marks is 50% with all the subjects taken together. 
  • He/She Should have successfully passed the NEET-UG 2025 examination with a minimum passing mark of 50%.
  • Age should be 17 years or above by December 31st at the time of admission.
