Jeevak Ayurvedic Medical College has provision of the undergraduate degree – 

  • Degree of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.).                                    

This undergraduate program’s target audience consists of those who are interested in learning more about Ayurvedic surgery and medicine for treating a range of ailments. The conventional treatments used by vaidyas, or ayurveda practitioners, are the primary emphasis of this course. The B.A.M.S. program lasts four and a half years, including an internship of one year. Examining bodies are Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Uttar Pradesh, and M.G.K.V.P., Varanasi “Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi”.

Among the basic sciences include biochemistry, pathology, anatomy, and physiology. Sanskrit, Ayurvedic Philosophy, Ayurvedic History, and Ayurvedic Samhitas, or ancient literature, form the basis of Ayurveda. Important topics in Ayurveda include Shalya Tantra (Surgery), Bhaisajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic Formulations), Dravyaguna (Ayurvedic Pharmacology), and Rasa Shastra (Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics) (ENT and Ophthalmology). Clinical training at Ayurvedic hospitals and clinics, including Panchakarma (detoxification therapies), is a component of practical training. 

The eligibility criteria is as follows – 

  • Candidates must be at least 17 years old on December 31, 2021, and their date of birth must be on or before December 31, 2003, to be eligible to apply. The date of birth on a certificate of equivalent date of birth or the high school transcript will be accepted.
  • Eligible candidates are those who have passed the Intermediate/I.S.C. (formerly known as the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology parts of the 10+2) or its equivalent. Admission through NEET Exam. The applicant needs to have received at least 50% of the attainable points in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined to pass the qualifying exam in all categories.
