Courses Offered
There are two Courses offered at Heritage Institute of Medical Science (HIMS), they are:
- UG Course.
- PG Course.
The Undergraduate (UG) Course is: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) – This is a 4.5 year Course that has an intake Capacity of 200 students each year.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to the MBBS Course:
- NEET Examination: Candidates must have appeared for the NEET exam and secured at least the qualifying status for the year of application.
- Age Requirement: Candidates should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year and not exceed 25 years of age.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the intermediate examination in Science from an Indian University/Board or any recognized examining body, including:
- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (with practical tests in these subjects).
- English as a compulsory subject.
- Minimum Marks: General candidates must have at least 50% combined in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with passing marks in English from CBSE/ICSE/UP Board or any equivalent examination.
The Postgraduate (PG) Courses are: MD General Medicine – Intake of 3 Seats each Year, MD Paediatrics – Intake of 3 Seats each Year, MD Radio-diagnosis – Intake of 4 Seats each Year, MD Respiratory Medicine – Intake of 3 Seats each Year, MS General Surgery – Intake of 3 Seats Each Year, MS Obstetrics and Gynecology – Intake of 3 Seats each Year, MS Ophthalmology – Intake of 2 Seats each Year. The institute has four fully air-conditioned lecture theaters presented in a gallery style, in which each hall accommodates 180 to 200 students. The auditorium is designed to host various events, lectures, and presentations. With ample seating and modern audio-visual equipment, it serves as a hub for academic and cultural activities.
