Baba Vishwanath Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, started its operation in 2004. The college is located in Martinganj, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Courses Offered

Baba Vishwanath Ayurvedic Medical College provides an extensive UG program – BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda in Medicine and Surgery). This course spans for 5.5-year, including a one-year mandatory rotating internship. The course is segmented into three parts- each consisting of 18 months, followed by the 12-month internship. The sanctioned intake capacity for the BAMS course is 60 students. For applicants applying to the course, they must have passed the 12th examination pass with a minimum aggregate 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects and have qualified the NEET examination or any other examination as decided by the Central or State Government.

There are indoor and outdoor games options with tournaments being held regularly and adequate sporting equipment being offered.  The expansive herbal garden present in the college campus stretched over 2500 square metres and offering 250 medicine plants serves as a repository for students to explore, observe, and practise the application of these medicinal herbs in the field of Ayurveda. 

Apart from the garden being a resource for students to do practicals, the garden also produces certain herbs on a large scale for manufacturing Ayurvedic medicines that provide an additional insight into herbal medicine production to students. The college offers well-kept, comfortable, and secure hostel facilities to boys and girls located on campus.

The hostel accommodation aims to provide the basic amenities as well as provide a homely environment for the students to help them flourish. The college also offers a modern gymnasium well-equipped on campus, to further support student’s physical and yogic exercise needs.
